Lock Haven University Wrestling Hall of Fame Criteria & Rules The Hall of Fame committee will have a minimum of five members, appointed by the Executive Committee of the LHU Wrestling Boosters Club. The committee members will elect a chairman and secretary.
The committee will select Hall of Fame candidates from nominations made by LHU Wrestling Club members from the following three categories:
1. Wrestler
2. Coach
3. Contributor
CRITERIA
Wrestler:
1. Must be a graduate of LHU and out of school at least 5 years.
2. Must have accomplished one or more of the following:
a. NCAA All-American
b. Won an EWL championship
c. Placed in EWL top 3 two or more years
d. Won a minimum of two PSAC championships
e. 100 or more LHU career wins
Coach: To be considered must be LHU graduates and have coached at least 5 years at the high school or college level or at LHU.
The following will be considered:
1. Career coaching dual meet wins
2. Dual meet winning percentage
3. State, regional, and district team championships wins/
4. Number of individual state champions coached
5. Membership in other coaching Halls of Fame
Contributor: To be considered for membership in the LHU Wrestling Hall of Fame, a person must have made extraordinary contributions to LHU wrestling in one or more of the following areas:
1. Media relations
2. Financial support
3. Service to the LHU wrestling program, or be an LHU graduate who has made significant
contributions to the sport of wrestling, i.e. outstanding officiating or service to wrestling in general.
